Can I cook a spiral ham on the barbeque?

I am having Thanksgiving dinner. The turkey takes up the whole oven. The weather is beautiful so we thought we would cook a ham on the barbeque. Can we? if so, what is the best way to do it?

Your ham is already fully cooked — usually the instructions say to cook it in a 325 degree oven until heated through … usually about 1 – 1 1/2 hours. "Cooking" it on the grill will give it a smoky flavor. You could even put it in a roasting pan, pour a cola over it, pack the top with brown sugar, cover tightly with aluminum foil, and put on the grill for about an hour to hour and half, turning the pan every 15 minutes to prevent scorching. Very tasty — and your pan will clean up, too. Just scrub with a brillo pad and good as new.

A spiral ham is already fully cooked. You just need to warm it up. You can certainly do that on the grill. I would just put it on low and rotate it often until it is warm. I have had it on the grill and it adds nice flavor to the ham.
