Thanks for the info … Thanks for the info. I have a rack (holder) I find it lets the bird dry out to fast for me. The beer can (coke, dr pepper,) kinda steams and helps keep the bird moist.I think you can put the cans in the rack if ya want. I just use the can. I’ll try a video one of these days.Last time I used orange soda and lemon lime soda. My boys seem to like the sweet flavor.
I just started … I just started doing the beer can chicken a few weeks ago. I seasoned the birds and let them stand overnite. Then cook then on charcoal ( kingsford ) I can cook 4 4.5 lb chickens on 8 lbs of charcoal. I use dr pepper makes a sweet taste. And I add seasoning to the 1/2 can of dr pepper. Works out great. I will say that we have something in common. Butter, onions, garlic. I can’t(will not) cook without them. And I too live on a lake. Love you vids keep it up and thanks

good tips on those … good tips on those chicken holders. I didn’t even know about them (I seen beer cans used for that purpose though). Chicken holder is probably better cuz it looks like you get more heat flow in there. Do you baste the chickens at all as they grill?
