The original wood stove featured a cast iron two door design. The Napoleon trade mark name originated in 1981 and with it came the first single glass door with Pyroceran high temperature glass. Over the years, demand for the Napoleon stove progressed to the rest of Canada and into the United states.

As time proceeded Napoleon led the way in wood stove manufacturing with advanced, state of the art technology which led to the  developement of the Gourmet Gas Grills with exclusive infra-red grilling. Napoleon has been reknowned and became distingquished for their advanced manufacturing techniques, dedicated customer service and outstanding product quality. Solaire is a product of Rasmussen Iron Works, Inc in Whittier, California. It was founded in 1907 by Rasmus Rasmussen, an imigrant from Denmark, when he opened his blacksmith shop on Philadelpia Street. He quickly developed a sideline business manufacturing fancy fireplace tools and screens.

Over the next few decades his busness expanded and Rasmussen Iron works made evrything fro truck body parts to steel buildings,to welding rod handles used to build ships for World War II. Rasmus’ son Ted Sr. open a retail store in front of the shop after the war and sold gas logs among other things.

In 1958 Ted Sr’s son T.R. made a breakthrough developing gas logs, which became the companies main product. Finally T.R. couldn’t find anyone to build his various creations of gas logs, he developed his own molding process and included several styles and shapes. Today there is a fourth generation of Rasmussen,Rett, now manufacturing a wide variety`of gas logs, fireplace componets and Solaire Infrared Grills

OCI Grills are manufactured by Outdoor Concepts, Inc, commonly known as OCI. The company was formed in 1997 and  developed a line of outdoor entertainment islands.

OCI’s team of grilling experts began developing and designing a varied array of outdoor stainless steel products suited for outdoor kitchens. These products included stainless steel charcoal grills, serving carts, prep carts, access doors and drawers, bar sinks, and coolers. In 2001 the OCI line of gas grills were introduced.
