Can you have a barbeque in Lammas Park or Gunnersbury Park in London (UK)?

Hi folks,

I’m moving to a flat in Ealing, West London (UK). I was wondering if anyone knows if BBQs are allowed in either Lammas or Gunnersbury Park? It would be great to use the outdoor space as living in a flat means we don’t have our own garden.

Thanks!

I very much doubt it, as the by-laws would make it on grounds of being a danger, and spoiling the peace of the park for other users. They have very stiff laws about making fires in parks. I don’t know if you could do it on common ground, like Ealing Common, if you do and, and get picked up by the police, I would not be surprised, especially if it is hot weather it could be a hazard. Bon fires are strict and not allowed even in private gardens, it was and has been against the law, that’s why we have Guy fawlks night, the only night you can by law.
