I’m living in DC,near Dupont Circle (zipcode is 20008).I’m looking for a park or any place outdoor to do grilling.I’m new to this area. Can somebody please help me find out those places.

Some of my fondest memories of chldhood are our weekend picnics in Washington, D.C. `

There is:

Fletcher’s Boat House off Canal Road where you can picnic and also rent a row boat and do some fishing on the Potomac.

The Mall itself and around all the monuments is one big picnic area. On weekends there are polo matches and baseball games.

Glen Echo falls is another beautiful place.

Anywhere in Rock Creek Park is nice.

The National Zoo

Point Lookout where the statue called "The Awakening" used to be is nice.

Some places even have built in grills, just bring some foil and charcoal.

D.C. is in the center of a very unique coastal area of the Chesaapeake bay, very near so many beautiful and historical places in Maryland and Virginia. Take advantage, get a tourist guide and map. Go to Annapolis, go to Williamsburg, got to Ocean City and Assateague beach on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

P.S. I live in Cambridge, MD now, a small city town on the Eastern Shore, on the banks of the Choptank River, about 1 hour east of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on route 50.
