If you have a backyard, and enjoy entertaining outdoors,
then it is an absolute must to have a garden barbecue. Whether this is a small
portable, charcoal barbecue, a portable gas barbecue, a smoker or a massive,
built-in garden barbecue, the backyard just does not seem complete without a
garden barbecue arrangement of some sort.

The ultimate garden barbecue is, of course, the built-in
barbecue then. Just as people tend to congregate in the kitchen at parties, so hosts
and visitors alike enjoy congregating around the garden barbecue, soaking up
the smells of barbecue cooking and sharing a drink and a few words with
friends. While a small, portable barbecue will do, there is no substitute for
the built-in garden barbecue, and the grill is just the beginning of your
outdoor garden barbecue masterpiece.

In many places today, the garden barbecue is part of an
outdoor kitchen area which, just like the indoor kitchen, provides everything
you need for barbecue cooking at its finest.

Designing your outdoor garden barbecue area is limited only
by your budget and your imagination. Sure, the Outdoor grilling surface takes

pride of place and you may find that you want two or three outdoor grilling
surfaces rather than just one, for those big gatherings and parties. Just like
in your kitchen, your outdoor garden barbecue kitchen needs to have storage
space for barbecue tools, for barbecue sauces, and of course spices and
marinades which you can add to your barbecue cooking to make it unique and
special.

Not only does your built-in garden barbecue increase the
enjoyment you will have in your own backyard as you entertain, but it also can
add value to your home when you come to sell. And because it is permanent,
buyers will see a large, inclusive garden barbecue kitchen area as a huge asset
to their purchase, and most will be prepared to pay more because your
beautifully designed outdoor garden barbecue area is an opportunity for them to
fulfil their barbecue cooking dreams with their friends and family.

So if you spend a lot of time barbecue cooking and
entertaining outside, consider making your portable barbecue set into an
outdoor garden barbecue masterpiece. You’ll be investing in your friends and
family, your own enjoyment, your barbecue cooking prowess, and the value of
your home for the future.

Almost everybody loves a barbecue. All around the world,
every Saturday afternoon, you can see men gathered around barbecues in
backyards, talking, laughing, drinking and cooking their favourite summer meal.
Yet Barbecue cooking is much more than simply cooking a meal. It is a time of
fellowship, a wonderful time for men to spend time talking with other men,
discussing issues like barbecue sauce recipes, how dark it should be cooked,
and the many other issues of manly life!

While there are a huge variety of barbecue cooking mediums
available to barbecue chef’s, such as the electric grill, gas, charcoal, or
smoker, there is something unique and wonderful about the barbecue flavour that
you can obtain from Barbeque cooking on your outdoor grill.

But the forgotten meat in all this is lamb! Cooking lamb on
your outdoor grill is not something that everyone thinks about, with most
concentrating on beef, chicken or even exotic meats like kangaroo! In most
barbecue cooking, beef or chicken or even seafood are considered mainstays on
the barbecue cooking menu. However, cooking lamb on a barbecue can give you
fantastic results, and you are not just limited to lamb chops.

Cooking lamb may involve chops, steaks, sausages, or you can

even roast a full leg of lamb in a barbecue, perhaps utilising a barbecue
rotisserie to keep the lamb turning and to minimise the amount of fat retained
in the meat.  Cooking lamb roast is one
of the best uses for the Barbeque rotisserie I can think of, and there is
little doubt that it is a very healthy way of barbeque cooking.

A plethora of barbecue recipes are available, and anything
you can find that applies to beef will also apply to a lamb chop. In fact, cooking
lamb can yield even better results than beef, because it tends to be extremely
tender when cooked correctly, and it also absorbs beautifully the flavours and
scenes of the outdoor barbecue cooking which we love so much.

Cooking lamb in the form of sausages is also a very viable
alternative for barbecue cooking. Unlike beef, lamb’s light texture can provide
a welcome alternative to some of the heavier beef sausages.

So if you’re looking for a fantastic alternative to beef, one
that is lighter, healthier, yet just as easy to cook on your outdoor grill,
then look no further than lamb. Lamb cooking, the forgotten aspect of barbecue
cooking, could be next big hit at your next neighbourhood barbecue party.

Around the world a backyard barbecue has become the focalpoint of many a dinner party. While the women stay in the kitchen organisingsalads, often the main retreat outdoors, glass of beer or wine in hand, todiscuss how to cook barbecue to perfection on the outdoor grill.  Yet while it seems many men know how to cookbarbecue steak and sausages, very few men know exactly how to cook barbecuechicken in a manner that pleases all their guests.

When many people think of how to cook barbecue chicken, they immediately ponder what the 11 secret herbs and spices may entail! Thefact is that there does not need to be any secret as to how to cook barbecuechicken to perfection because you need only to consider two steps: thepreparation and the cooking.

When learning how to cook barbecue chicken, the firstthing to remember is that the marinade or the sauce that is used while cookingis extremely important. Whatever the basis of the sauce, be it the tomato, barbecue or Chilly base, USA fits to leave chicken steaks marinating in itovernight. This provides plenty of opportunity for the meat to absorb thebeautiful taste of sauce, and this taste will not been dissipated during thecooking process.

Another time-honoured secret of how to cook barbecuechicken is to slice the chicken into steaks, then cover the stakes in yourpreference of spices, we exotic tastes such shares paprika, Chilly, garlic andginger providing an exciting and tenderising surface to the chicken steak.

However, the most important aspect when considering howto cook barbecue chicken is the cooking method itself. One of my favouritemethods is to slice the chicken breast into steaks, then lightly and gentlycooking the steaks on the outdoor grill surface. Some prefer the barbequerotisserie and if you know how to cook barbecue and rotisserie style then youcan generally be assured of a succulent and extremely healthy barbecue chickenmeal.

The most important thing to remember when cooking chickenon an outdoor grill is to not over cook the meat. Overcooking will cause themeat to dry out and become brittle, rather than succulent and juicy. Careshould be taken to sear either side of steak, while still keeping the centreportion of the steak tender. The same principle applies when using the barbecuerotisserie chicken, cooking the outside to crispness while keeping the insidejuicy and tender. If you're not sure how to cook barbecue chicken properly, Irecommend doing so on a low flame, being careful to sear the services but leavethe centre tender.

Remember, learning how to cook barbeque chicken is notabout simply throwing the chicken on at the same time as your steak, becauseyou need to carefully monitor the cooking process to avoid over cooking themeat.

So if you are interested in learning how to cook barbecuechicken to perfection, remember that part of the secret lies in the marinadeand sauce preparation, while the other part of the secret involves youcarefully cooking the chicken on a low heat. Combining these two elements should see you learning how to cookbarbeque chicken to perfection!

If you are anything like me, then you hate to do thingsby halves and prefer to put heart and soul into any project. Therefore, whenyou decide to build an outdoor grill, a few bricks with a barbecue platesuspended above them is hardly going to constitute a job well done! You mayfind that when you set out to build an outdoor grill project evolves from asimple cooking surface to a magnificent extension of the kitchen area into theman's domain of the outdoors.

All around the world many men do not enjoy spending timein the kitchen, but love to spend time with their friends around the gardenbarbecue, so the decision to build an outdoor real becomes a majorconsideration. The astute homeowner will also discover that if he takes alittle more time to design and carefully build an outdoor grill, he can add asignificant amount of value to his home. So if you go to a little bit moreeffort when you come to build an outdoor grill in your backyard, not only willyou and your family benefit from it but you will also benefit financially fromit in the long run when you come to sell your home.

As is the case with many home improvement activities, when you come to build an outdoor grill at your home, the design is the mostimportant part.  The first question youmust face when you decide to build an outdoor grill is where to locate it. Iprefer to look upon a home garden barbecue as an extension of the kitchen areaoutdoors, so I would always recommend building your barbecue close to youroutdoor living areas, preferably not far from the kitchen itself. If thekitchen has a window which opens to the outside of the house, it is common tobuild an outdoor grill close to this window, with sliding windows and screensallowing you to pass food, plates and utensils easily between the outdoorgrilling area and the kitchen itself.

Where you build an outdoor grill is also dependent on thetype of barbecue you are creating. For safety reasons, any barbecue that useswood or coal should be kept at a safe distance from the edge of the home, especially if the home is made of wood. However, if you choose to build anoutdoor grill which is powered by gas then you should be able to keep yourbarbecue in close proximity to the kitchen area.

As a general rule men love nooks and crannies aroundtheir barbecue area. In my case, I have specific areas and holders for thingslike barbecue sauces, utensils and even garbage disposal, as well as plates anda grill which enables me to entertain for large numbers of people and providebeautifully cooked meat and vegetables for my guests. Taking the time to designand build an outdoor grill with these features will certainly impress yourfriends, and enable you to cook effectively while still being close enough tothe house to enjoy their company of your guests.

The design of your garden barbecue is entirely up toyourself, but I would urge you to not hastily approach this task but rathertake time to think about its location, its designs and the features that willoffer to you in your family. Remember also that the decisions you make when youcome to build an outdoor grill will not only affect your family and yourentertaining ability, but they will also potentially add significant value to yourproperty in the future when you come to sell. So take the time to thinkcarefully and do not just build an outdoor grill, build a barbecue masterpiece.
